Machined in-house, the Tick Performance Billet Front plate is ideal for high-horsepower builds looking to retain high strength and an enhanced Bung/Sprayer system.
The Corvette billet front plate dramatically improves strength, which can help reduce torque deflection. The added strength also helps improve gear mesh, which aids in wearing, enhances performance, and shifting. Often, when a transmission experiences severe internal damage, it will harm the OEM front plate, but the billet front plate greatly reduces the chance of damage. This billet front plate is used on the GrubbWorm Camaro (world’s fastest LT1-based car) with great success and an improved gear wear pattern.
The Tick Performance Sprayer system on the front plate replaces the Bungs and Sprayer design ($150 savings). Our machined sprayer evenly coats 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears more accurately and thoroughly than ever before. When a vehicle launches or shifts during racing, transmission fluid moves to the back of the case, causing a lack of lubrication. We’ve encountered numerous transmissions with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears burned up. The Tick Performance Bungs and Sprayer system eliminates this issue. Our New Corvette Billet Front Plate will includes hardware, block off plate for pump section, and spray bar as standard. We have enlarged the oiling ports over the factory pump equipped oiling pumps to increase flow rate and lubrication. We have updated the shift rail bushing as well as improving the overall design for maximum strength against shock loading. Our billet front plate will be able to accept an optional high volume pickup tube as well as accepting the OE extended pickup. For those who opt for an electronic pump we now include the ability to add a bolt-on speed sensor housing for use of a more economical speed sensor.

Billet Mechanical Pump
Tick’s new mechanical pump is perfect for road racing applications. The pump eliminates the need for powering and mounting an electric pump. This pump also allows for increase in fluid flow based on countershaft speed. This means gears will received optimal lubrication during hard driving. The optional mechanical pump includes the billet pump housing, gear set, hardware, and extended fluid fitting. May require minor modification to OE and Certain aftermarket gear sets.
Tick Performance now gives you the optional to choose between the factory style extended pickup or our high volume pickup tube to maximize fluid flow and lubrication to your T56/TR6060 gear set.
Tick Performance is still offering their traditional speed sensor location but will now include the ability to mount a speed sensor in a more cost/time effective location for those who choose to run the electric pump only. This new location allows for use of a more economical speed sensor as well as making the replacement of the sensor easier. This new design is perfect for drag racing application allowing the user to monitor clutch slip.
NOTE if you have a Pre-2005 T56 that is equipped with the butterfly detent and plan to utilize this front plate it will require the use of our billet shifter.
